Today's Scriptures are teaching us how we can have power over the heart of our God.
Abraham is the father of our faith, and today's first reading from Genesis helps us to understand why. Once God had revealed Himself to Abraham as the one and only true God, and that Abraham would be the father of many nations, Abraham believed and it was credited to him as justice. In other words, Abraham became a friend of God.
