Today's readings make it very clear that God extends His invitation to all people of every race and language. As a nation, the Israelites were not known for engaging in much missionary activity. Yet, Isaiah, who lived more than 700 years before Christ, tells us that the Lord will "gather nations of every language; they shall come and see my glory. I will set a sign among them...."
